The Flyers will try to get back to .500 after their track record of exchanging wins and losses continued versus the Avalanche. That won’t be easy though, as they face the red-hot Bruins.

First period: It was a very lifeless opening period as both teams were playing a safe game.

Second period: The second period was a much more active period for both teams. After exchanging scoring chances through the period, the Bruins would finally break the ice as Chara blasted a shot from the point that made its way past Elliott. DeBrusk would pile on with a late powerplay goal to give the Bruins a 2-0 lead heading into the intermission.

Third period: Things got heated as Kampfer essentially mugged Laughton, who wasn’t looking for a fight. The Flyers failed on multiple powerplays and were stonewalled by Halak. After a late-game scrum, the Bruins scored on an empty net to seal the win.

Takeaways: Just another game where there are almost no bright spots. Things are not looking good for this team at the moment as hope is fading fast.
